I’m back with another intimate wedding celebration to share with you, this time at Keswick Hall! Located in Charlottesville, VA, Keswick Hall just reopened after a multiyear renovation. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell that they left no room untouched. From the black and white marble floors, to the warm, inviting sitting rooms lined with cozy leather chairs, and the light filled hallways, I was in interior decor heaven!

Keswick Hall was the perfect location for Christine and Steven to celebrate their wedding with a small gathering of family and friends. They were originally set to wed at DAR Constitution Hall in DC in 2020. They postponed due to the pandemic, and ended up purchasing a home in Chevy Chase! I was thrilled when they asked me to capture their post-nuptial celebration, and we were even able to grab some beautiful portraits around Keswick Hall. I loved discovering beautiful locations for their portraits in every corner of the property, including a beautiful study filled with light and antique furniture, as well as a magical staircase. The long floral filled dining tables provided the perfect setting for family members to congregate after a cocktail hour overlooking the golf course.

Intimate Weddings- Personalized to You!

I’ve captured so many intimate weddings over the past few years, and love that every minimony/elopement/microwedding/whatever-you-want-to-call-it is so unique. Having a smaller guest count means that each couple is truly able to customize their day to be what they want.

For Christine and Steven, this meant a cute invitation suite that perfectly matched the decor and colors at Keswick Hall, a dining table filled with lush florals, warm candlelight, and never-ending champagne to encourage conversation and laughter, and time with their most treasured family and friends. It was such a joy to be able to capture all of this for them. The vibe at Keswick reminded me of a cross between the Inn at Perry Cabin and Salamander Resort (both of which I also love)- cozy and design forward, focused on an upscale luxury experience without the pretentiousness.

Couples, if you are looking for a Charlottesville getaway for your intimate wedding celebration, Keswick Hall is the place to be (they do big weddings too, and did I mention there’s an infinity pool?).

BEHIND THE LENS

Director, curator, documentarian, photographer, storyteller. Inspired by history, culture, and the stories that connect us.

My family immigrated to the United States as refugees, leaving their lives behind in search of a brighter future. With all their worldly belongings contained in the suitcases they carried, the scant photographs that crossed the ocean have served as a lifeline to stories untold, allowing me to piece together my family legacy, one image at a time. Decades later, I discovered photography as a medium to document my travels (37 countries and counting!) and encapsulate the joy and happiness that each new adventure brings.
