RECENT WORK AND MUSINGS
Popping the bubbly because it’s Friday, and because I’m sharing Ashlyn and Patrick’s stunning engagement photos taken at the Conrad Hotel DC! Their fun, motion filled engagement session took us around all the locations in the Conrad Hotel, including finishing at the rooftop with views of the Washington monument. The Conrad Hotel Washington DC is […]
Rachel and Gabriel’s summer wedding at DAR Constitution Hall was the perfection fusion celebration for this California duo. Gabriel is originally from the DC region, so providing a classic DC wedding experience was important to Rachel and Gabe. We started the day off at the Willard Intercontinental where the bride and groom got ready with […]
I finally had a chance to meet up with Carolyn and Sonitha for their Kennedy Center engagement session in DC! They were actually supposed to be married this weekend, but like many other couples this year made the difficult decision to postpone until 2021. The Kennedy Center offers the perfect mix of classic and modern […]
The 2020 cherry blossom season came early this year, only to be cut short by social distancing, and I am so grateful that we were able to make Bree and Robin’s cherry blossom engagement session happen! Their session brings so many smiles to my face because of their easy-going personalities…and because it’s the last time […]
DAR Constitution Hall is one of the most iconic Washington, DC wedding venues. The tall marble columns and views of the Washington Monument make it a complete show stopper when combined with the O’Byrne Gallery for wedding receptions. I shot Genta and Josh’s wedding at DAR Constitution Hall back in April and can’t stop smiling […]
I can still hear the sound of Abigail’s joyful laughter, two months after the wedding. Abigail and Matt are so beloved by their friends and family, and threw one heck of a winter wedding party at the Josephine Butler Parks Center in Washington, DC. When I first met the couple and they told me they […]
BEHIND THE LENS
Director, curator, documentarian, photographer, storyteller. Inspired by history, culture, and the stories that connect us.
My family immigrated to the United States as refugees, leaving their lives behind in search of a brighter future. With all their worldly belongings contained in the suitcases they carried, the scant photographs that crossed the ocean have served as a lifeline to stories untold, allowing me to piece together my family legacy, one image at a time. Decades later, I discovered photography as a medium to document my travels (37 countries and counting!) and encapsulate the joy and happiness that each new adventure brings.
Currently booking for 2023 and 2024 weddings in Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and beyond.
