Popping in to share Melissa & Eric’s downtown Frederick engagement session today! Downtown Frederick is one of my favorite ‘city’ recommendations for couples who might be a little crowd averse. There are a number of sites to shoot at which offer quaint city vibes, mixed with a little nature here and there at Baker Park and nearby locations. Melissa and I went back and forth over outfit choices before their session, and her diligence and thoughtfulness paid off- they complement each other and their surroundings so well! Their session was full of relaxed joy and snuggles- aren’t they radiant!? Melissa and Eric were originally scheduled to be married this October, but decided to postpone to next year so that they can enjoy the fun safely with their friends and family. Cannot wait for their wedding next fall!

BEHIND THE LENS

meet Winnie

Director, curator, documentarian, photographer, storyteller. Inspired by history, culture, and the stories that connect us.

My family immigrated to the United States as refugees, leaving their lives behind in search of a brighter future. With all their worldly belongings contained in the suitcases they carried, the scant photographs that crossed the ocean have served as a lifeline to stories untold, allowing me to piece together my family legacy, one image at a time. Decades later, I discovered photography as a medium to document my travels (37 countries and counting!) and encapsulate the joy and happiness that each new adventure brings.
