As of the day that I’m sharing this post, Jess & Chris’s original wedding date at the Winslow Room in Baltimore has not happened yet. I’ll let you pause and reread that! Yes, they were originally scheduled to be married later this October, and then this summer I got an email from Jess. “Winnie, we’re thinking about moving our wedding due to COVID-19. Are you available August 21?” I replied, “Yes, I do have 8/21/21 available at the moment!” Minutes later, her reply: “I know this is crazy, but we’re talking 8.21.20” And thus began the whirlwind of preparations to move up their wedding! With so many restrictions and rules constantly changing in Baltimore, Jess and Chris decided to bump up their Winslow Room wedding so that they could celebrate the here and the now. And while the guest count was significantly smaller than they originally anticipated, the day was no less special- perhaps even more so because we had so much time to capture portraits of the two of them and with their friends and family around Baltimore.Four Seasons Baltimore wedding photos

We started off the day getting ready at the Four Seasons Baltimore. Jess told me ahead of time that she was gifting Chris a Rolex (and I thought the bottle of bourbon I gifted Darren when we got married was nice, hah!), so I had plenty of time to capture him opening the gift- which conveniently matched their wedding colors! After a sweet and intimate first look on the waterfront, we hopped over to Fed Hill Park for some more portraits. We also had an opportunity to photograph under the parking garage area at the Winslow. Sounds strange, looks awesome in photos! Love the combination of classic and urban vibes we were able to capture during their wedding. A heartfelt ceremony and fun-filled reception followed. Instead of a traditional reception layout, Jess & Chris created a cocktail style reception for their Winslow Room wedding so that guests could distance and space themselves out in a way that felt comfortable. It may not have been October 17, but it was every bit as magical. Congratulations Jess and Chris, it was truly an honor and joy working with you!Four Seasons Baltimore wedding first look
