I launched my wedding season off with Sarah and Luke’s beautiful wedding at Saint Peter and Paul Antiochian Church in Potomac, Maryland. Their stylish engagement session at the Kreeger Museum left me hopeful that Sarah’s tasteful and elegant aesthetic would carry through on their wedding day, and they did not disappoint!
We started off the day at Sarah’s family’s home, where I photographed her gorgeous Alexandra Grecco gown and bouquet. Then it was ceremony time! St. Peter and Paul is a stunning Orthodox Church in Potomac, just 3 miles from my house (a five minute drive home at the end of a long wedding day is THE BEST). When I walked into the church, my jaw dropped. Beautiful natural light, vivid colors…what a hidden gem of a wedding venue! I loved the rituals of their Orthodox ceremony, which was full of details. We then headed off to their reception at Normadie Farm, where the celebrations continued!
Here’s the best part- these lovebirds added a day-after (ok, week-after is probably more accurate) wedding session so that we could grab more portraits! If you aren’t incorporating a first look into your wedding and/or your timeline is very tight, consider adding a day-after wedding portrait session to your photography package! It’s a great way to take romantic couples portraits without the pressure of the wedding day. We took these at Glenview Mansion in Rockville, which complemented their wedding photos perfectly. Wishing these lovebirds a lifetime of love and happiness together!
