Amy and Mike’s Meridian House fall wedding in Washington, DC was a stunner! Amy first reached out to me almost two years ago- you may remember their engagement session at Tudor House in DC. Their affinity for European vibes came through again in the beautiful architecture of Meridian House. Check out their wedding featured in the Washingtonian!

We started off with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at the Conrad, and then moved to the Linden tree grove at Meridian House for Amy and Mike’s first look. Amy and Mike took such care in the planning of their wedding, and her hard work paid off, both in terms of the entire wedding aesthetic, and in how relaxed everyone was throughout the day. I loved all of the little details from Amy & Mike’s special day- the velvet bridesmaids dresses, gorgeous florals, energy-packed dance floor, the late night churro bar they set out for guests, and of course: their beautiful love – over a decade in the making.

BEHIND THE LENS

meet Winnie

Director, curator, documentarian, photographer, storyteller. Inspired by history, culture, and the stories that connect us.

My family immigrated to the United States as refugees, leaving their lives behind in search of a brighter future. With all their worldly belongings contained in the suitcases they carried, the scant photographs that crossed the ocean have served as a lifeline to stories untold, allowing me to piece together my family legacy, one image at a time. Decades later, I discovered photography as a medium to document my travels (37 countries and counting!) and encapsulate the joy and happiness that each new adventure brings.
