I’m finally getting around to blogging Lisa and Justin’s wedding from last summer at The Mountain Terrace in Woodside, California. Their wedding was also published in Glamour and Grace last fall, so it’s about time I share some of my favorites! I shot their engagement in San Francisco back in 2018, and loved working with them. So when they asked me to come back to the Bay Area to shoot their wedding, it was a no brainer. As it turns out, my cousin lives about 20 minutes from the venue, so I got to catch up with family while in town. Win win.
Lisa and Justin are from the Bay Area, and chose The Mountain Terrace for its redwood trees and stunning outdoor views. They wanted the wedding to feel cozy and intimate, and the fire pit, the beautiful market lights draped across the terrace and the trees, and the layout of the venue really added to the atmosphere. Christina from Bellevue Floral Co absolutely NAILED it with the florals, pairing her high end aesthetic perfectly with The Mountain Terrace’s more woodsy ambience. Another touch I loved? Lisa and Justin’s modern take on the ao dai and Chinese suit, a perfect marriage of their Chinese and Vietnamese heritage. It was truly a privilege and honor capturing their Mountain Terrace wedding in California, and I’m counting the days until I’m back in the Bay!
