Hello, and thank you for stopping by! Each year, I take a limited number of portrait commissions. Many of my clients are former wedding couples or colleagues in the creative industry who know and value the priceless moments that we will create and document together. As a fellow mother, I know that having your family photographed can feel daunting. From the wardrobe planning, to getting everyone on board the day of the session, I will be with you every step of the way to provide guidance and set us up for success. Initial Consultation
During our consultation, we’ll discuss light, location, and your kid’s nap schedule amongst other factors to determine the logistics of your session.

Booking + Planning
A signed contract and 50% retainer, both of which can be taken care of online, reserves your date in my calendar. From there, I’ll provide resources and input for what to wear and other session considerations.

Shoot Day
On the day of the shoot, all you need to do is show up and smile. I'll direct you through a mixture of poses, groupings, and interactions, guided by an editorial eye and relaxed approach. The result is a collection of authentic portraits that tell the story of your family and the love that you all share.
03.
Gallery Delivery
Grab the tissue box, your images are ready! You can expect your images to be ready within 3-4 weeks of your session. All images are delivered fully edited in high resolution via a digital gallery where you can order prints, download, and share with loved ones.

Frequently asked questions
What do we do if it rains?
I keep an eye on the weather especially during the rainier months to see if we need to reschedule to another day. I usually make weather calls 24-48 hours prior to our session and will provide plenty of notice if there is a chance that we need to find an alternate date.
What should we wear?
I happily help with selecting your wardrobe! I encourage my clients to get a little dressy and have your hair/makeup done professionally- it gets you excited for the session, and when you feel good, you look good. In general, neutrals, earth tones, pastels or lighter colors look great in any environment. Smaller prints or accent colors can also work well! Send over any options you’re considering and I’d love to help with your selection.
Can we add additional people to our session?
Sessions include up to 5 people. Additional individuals may be added for $30/person. Please include pets as part of your total head count.
Help! We’re awkward and my kids don’t sit still
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera initially. As I coach you through the session and provide posing guidance, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I’m well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
Do you charge a travel fee to X?
All portrait sessions include travel within a 15 mile radius of Rockville, Maryland. For bookings outside of this radius, please contact me for a custom quote.
Where should we take our photos?
I always suggest choosing a location that means something to your family! It could be a local park, your favorite part of the city, or even your home (especially if you have rambunctious little ones). As long as we have some natural light and you all feel comfortable in that space we are good to go. However, if you love exploring new places or need some suggestions, feel free to ask me. I’ve got a list of places that I love photographing at and always up for brainstorming more!
