Today I’m throwing it back to this coastal summer wedding at the Inn at Perry Cabin. You may recognize this Eastern Shore venue from the movie Wedding Crashers (such a lighthearted, humorous watch!). Nestled away in the town of St. Michaels, the Inn at Perry Cabin is perfect for couples looking for laid back, effortless elegance with a touch of coastal Maryland charm. We lucked out with the weather for portraits, which were then followed by a monsoon of summer rains. Shortly after the ceremony ended, the rain trickled down just in time for guests to make their way over to the Sperry tented reception. Details included a calligraphed escort cards against nautical map, peaches and pops of summery florals with lace and textured accents, monogrammed napkins with the couple’s names, and oysters nestled in the coffee table lounge seating. The bride also gifted the groom with a custom painting of the country club where they first met, which I’m sure will look fabulous on the walls of their home. All in all, it was a sweet summer day that they’ll remember for many years to come.
