Sharing a few images from a summer wedding at Great Marsh Estate in Bealeton, Virginia. I actually attended a wedding here as a guest a few weeks before this wedding took place, so it was interesting from both perspectives! The bride and groom exchanged private vows under the tree surrounded only by their closest family after their first look. and then followed up with a more traditional ceremony for all of their guests- best of both worlds! Great Marsh Estate is such a romantic wedding venue, with all the perfect nooks and crannies for stunning wedding portraits, and I hope to be back again soon. If you plan on getting married here in the summer and are having your ceremony on the lawn, one tip I have to offer is that there is zero shade. I recommend starting the ceremony later, around 6 PM so things can cool down and guests can stay comfortable. (I would also think about parasols or large umbrellas- talk to your planner about this!). The light is also better during this time, so that you can get those glowy, romantic portraits.
