I have a life long love affair with books (I mean, my wedding venue was in a library!), so when Genta and Josh suggested the Library of Congress for their engagement session, my heart skipped a beat. The Library of Congress in Washington DC is equally stunning indoors and out. We were amidst the government shutdown, but luckily this time around the LoC was not affected…which means, yup! It was quite busy for a blustery Saturday January afternoon. With a little patience (and side-eyeing tourists that decided to play photographer and take a picture), this session is easily a favorite- the photos speak for themselves! You’d also never know that DC had just dumped blue salt everywhere in preparation for a snow storm that hit mere minutes after we wrapped up their session (positioning is key, friends). If weather is potentially an issue but you still love the classic marble architecture of DC, I encourageyou to consider the Library of Congress for your engagement session!
