The weather is actually behaving in Maryland this week, so I’m throwing it back to this epic summer wedding at the Bayfront Club in Edgemere, Maryland. Remember that epic heat wave we had in July? Julie and Mike got married during that (with an outdoor ceremony, might I add), and they were absolute CHAMPS about it! Their epic 17-person wedding party was such a blast to hang out with. Moreover, when the ceremony time came, we were actually blessed with an amazing breeze drifting in from the Chesapeake Bay.
Julie and Mike bought a house together recently, and she decided to get ready in the comfort of their own home. This was such a great idea because some of their unfurnished rooms had amazing light. Can you say gorgeous getting ready photos and bridal portraits!? Julie also shared not one, not two, but three first looks! First with her bridesmaids, then with her father, and finally with Mike. Triple the emotions, and triple the fun!
One of the important details we were able to capture at Julie and Mike’s Bayfront Club wedding was their memory wall. Julie and Mike nestled portraits in a boat bookcase, which matched their dusty blue waterfront vibes perfectly. Earlier this year, one of their groomsmen passed away. Julie and Mike were able to honor his memory in several ways. First, the deceased groomsman’s brother stood in his place in wearing his brother’s embroidered suit jacket. Additionally, Julie and Mike incorporated his photo into some pictures with the wedding party members. Lastly, the groomsman’s portrait was present on their memory wall. It was touching to witness the way Julie and Mike loved on their family and friends, present and past.
My team was spoiled with lots of time for portraits, and after dinner we were able to sneak out for some photos on the Bayfront Club’s dock. Afterwards, Bachelor Boys Band kept the party on the dance floor allll night! It was the perfect end to this beautiful summer wedding.
